Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon cut a frustrated figure after watching his side surrender a two-goal advantage in a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Bibiani GoldStars at Dun’s Park on Sunday.
He insisted his team deserved a positive result despite extending their away struggles.
Dreams FC looked set for a rare away win after Abdul Razak Salifu scored twice inside 20 minutes, putting the visitors firmly in control and leaving GoldStars chasing the game at the break.
The hosts responded after halftime, using sustained pressure to turn the tide. They pulled one back on 74 minutes before drawing level late on as momentum swung decisively in their favour.
GoldStars then completed the comeback in stoppage time, maintaining their perfect home record and moving up to fifth place on 20 points.
“I have been very impressed with my team’s performance but very disappointed with the results because to be fair on the balance of play, I think we deserved something from this game but we weren’t lucky,” Dormon said.
The defeat leaves Dreams FC 15th in the standings and still searching for their first away win of the campaign.
They will look to respond when they host Basake Holy Stars in their next fixture, while GoldStars turn their attention to a home clash against second-placed Medeama SC.
