The Chief Executive Officer of Young Apostles, Gerald Domfeh, has confirmed that the club will not proceed with its threatened boycott of the Ghana Premier League.
The Wenchi-based side had raised the prospect of withdrawing from the league following a 2-2 draw with Hohoe United in their Matchday 19 fixture, citing concerns over unfair officiating.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Domfeh stated that the club had reviewed its position and decided to continue competing in the topflight.
"We had a meeting to review our performance for the first half of the season with the management, but we have come to the conclusion that we will not boycott the league. We will continue to play and compete well in the league."
He acknowledged that the initial threat was fueled by frustration over refereeing decisions.
"Our initial decision was based on grievances over unfair officiating. We were just not happy with some of the things that were happening, and that influenced my decision to come on the radio to threaten a boycott."
The CEO also issued an apology for his earlier comments.
"I apologise for my earlier remarks by threatening to boycott playing in the Premier League."
Young Apostles will next face Dreams FC in their Matchday 20 encounter at the Tuba Astro Turf.
