Newly appointed Swedru All Blacks head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey has appealed directly to the club's management and supporters, calling for a united front and maximum backing as he begins his mission to lead the team to success.
The experienced Ghanaian coach, who officially took charge on Tuesday, January 27, replacing former manager Ahmed Fathi, stressed that collective effort is essential.
"I'm happy to be here, and I will need their support, so they should give me the maximum support," Ocansey said in his first interview after the appointment.
"I cannot do it alone. They have to support me for us to achieve what we want."
Ocansey, known for his previous work at clubs like Nations FC and Bechem United, emphasized his commitment to collaboration. "I'm happy to be here, and I'm going to cooperate with them to achieve the necessary result we need," he added, signalling his intention to build a strong working relationship with the club's existing structures.
The new coach faces an immediate challenge, with his first match in charge set for this Sunday, February 1, when Swedru All Blacks face Gold Stars in their Week 21 Ghana Premier League fixture.
Ocansey's immediate appeal for support highlights his understanding that turning around the club's fortunes will require a concerted effort from everyone involved, as he aims for a winning start to his tenure.
