Young Apostles winger Hussein Issah was over the moon on Sunday after helping his team to thump Eleven Wonders 3-0 in the Ghana Premier League, but insisted that they should have scored more.
In the Week 21 fixture of the 2025/26 league campaign, Hussein Issah’s brace and Kingsford Agyemang’s strike helped the hosts to secure all points.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Issah disclosed that the players' motivation and determination made the triumph possible.
“We knew the game was not going to be easy, so we had to motivate ourselves before the match, and that helped us to secure the victory. We have a -6 goal difference, so we were determined to score more. We should have scored more, but we couldn’t,” the exciting winger said.
Issah added, “Next time we will do better to convert more chances. We did well, and at the end of the day, we have secured all three points.”
The win over Eleven Wonders on Sunday has pushed Young Apostles to the 13th position in the Ghana Premier League standings.
Wonders, on the other hand, remain at the bottom of the league table.
