Local player representative Sammy Anim Addo has praised Raymond Anokye for his impressive debut performance for his new club Patro Eisden in the Belgian second-tier.
Anokye scored in his first match for the club in their 4-4 draw with Genk U23 in the Challenger Pro League on Friday, 6 February.
He hit the back of the next on seven to double their lead before Genk U23 came back strongly to mount a challenge.
Taking to social media after the match, Anim Addo expressed gratitude and optimism about the player’s future.
“All Glory to the most high God. We asked and you answered again, we are forever grateful Lord. A debut start in a new club with a goal. This is just the beginning Son,” he wrote.
The goal capped a memorable introduction for Anokye, who wasted little time announcing himself and underlining his potential.
Anokye sealed a loan move to Patro Eisden on transfer deadline day from Pro League side Charleroi till the end of the season.
