Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola applauded 'incredible' Antoine Semenyo after the striker scooped the EPL Player of the Month award for February.
The Ghana international received the award after a blistering second month at the Etihad Stadium, scoring three times and delivering assist in five Premier League matches.
Semenyo has settled in quickly an Manchester City and has become a key figure in Guardiola's quest to reclaim the EPL title.
“I’m so happy for him,” Guardiola said at the pre-match presser for the game against West Ham on Saturday. “He’s an incredible guy. He deserves it.”
The Black Stars forward joined City during the winter transfer window from AFC Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, Semenyo expressed delight after winning the ward, thanking his teammates for playing a role in his quick adaptation.
“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” he said.
“It’s been such an amazing start to life at this club. I am learning so much every day and I honestly feel I am already a better player.
“I have been made to feel welcome from day one, which means I have been able to stay focused on the pitch and do my best."
