Hamburger SV forward Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer has received a late call-up to the Black Stars camp for the friendlies against Austria and Germany.
His invitation follows the withdrawal of Inaki Williams and Brandon Thomas-Asante, who both sustained knocks during their recent league matches.
Brandon Thomas-Asante featured for Coventry City in their 3-0 win over Swansea City but was replaced by Josh Eccles in the 62nd minute after picking up a knock.
Inaki Williams played the full duration of Athletic Bilbao’s win over Real Betis, but subsequent scans revealed he sustained an injury during the match, ruling him out of the trip to Vienna.
Konigsdorffer has already arrived in Vienna and is scheduled to train with the squad on Tuesday afternoon. The 24-year-old has been involved for his club this season, scoring four goals in 26 appearances. He last featured for Ghana in 2024, playing in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger.
He will be hoping to impress the technical team and push for a place in the squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Ghana will face Panama, Croatia and England in the group stage.
The friendlies against Austria and Germany will test the team's readiness for the big tournament in North America. Ghana face Austria on March 27, and then three days later take on Germany in Stuttgart.
