Asante Kotoko have announced that fans will be allowed free entry when their Ghana Premier League clash against Samartex resumes, following the abandonment of the game due to heavy rain at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday.
The club confirmed the decision after supporters raised concerns over the disruption, stating that management had agreed to make the remainder of the match accessible to all.
“Our board and management have heard your concerns and decided to make the game free for everyone to watch,” the club said in a statement.
The original fixture was called off early in the second half after a heavy downpour left the pitch waterlogged and unplayable, with the scoreline at 0-0. Officials, together with both captains, agreed that conditions were not suitable to continue.
The remaining 45 minutes of the match will now be played on Tuesday morning at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko will be aiming to secure all three points as they push to stay in the title race, while Samartex are also targeting a strong finish as they chase a top-four spot.
