Jonah Kusi-Asare fires Fulham U-21 to a comeback victory over Chelsea U-21

Swedish-Ghanaian forward Jonah Kusi-Asare was the match-winner as Fulham U21 came from behind to beat Chelsea U21 2–1 at Motspur Park.

Fulham trailed at the break after Shumaira Mheuka made amends for an early missed penalty by finishing smartly from a Reggie Walsh assist on 33 minutes.

The hosts responded strongly after half-time, pinning Chelsea back and finally drawing level on the hour when Alfie White struck to make it 1–1, finishing a well-worked move created by Jonathan Esenga. Just eight minutes later, Kusi-Asare delivered the decisive moment, timing his run perfectly before steering home from a Macauley Zepa pass to turn the game on its head and put Fulham 2–1 up.

Chelsea pushed hard late on, but Fulham defended their lead with determination, helped by substitutes who added fresh energy in the closing stages. The result continues an encouraging run of form for Fulham’s youngsters and underlines Kusi-Asare’s growing influence in the final third.
