Women’s football development in Ghana is set for another major step forward with the Elite U-15 Girls Championship 2026 scheduled to take place from June 5 to June 10, 2026.
The competition, which forms part of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, will bring together some of the country’s brightest young female footballers from across all regions.
This year’s event marks the third edition of the championship and reflects the growing commitment to grassroots and youth football development in Ghana.
The tournament is expected to provide a strong platform for young players to showcase their talent, gain competitive experience and begin their pathway toward the national teams.
Beyond the competition itself, the championship is also seen as an important avenue for talent identification and player development within women’s football.
Many of the participants will be hoping to impress coaches and scouts as the tournament continues to serve as a key platform for discovering future national team players.
The Elite U-15 Girls Championship forms part of wider efforts to strengthen women’s football development in Ghana and create more opportunities for young female footballers across the country.
