Jan Gyamerah arrives in Puebla as Black Stars assemble for Mexico friendly

German-born right-back Jan Gyamerah has linked up with the Black Stars squad in Puebla ahead of Friday's friendly showdown with Mexico.

Gyamerah, who plays for TSV Elversberg, was among three players who joined the camping group on Tuesday, alongside Terry Yegbe and Nathaniel Adjei. Their arrival brings the total number of players in camp to 22.

The match against Mexico serves as a key preparation fixture for Ghana ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States next month.

Head coach Carlos Queiroz will use the friendly to fine-tune his squad and assess his defensive options, with Gyamerah now in contention for a role in the team's World Cup plans.
