New Black Stars goalkeeping coach Daniel Gaspar has underscored the importance of taking every match seriously at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, no opponent of Ghana at the upcoming tournament will be easy to play against.
Speaking to Kooora, Gasper disclosed that the technical team will not target individual players but will plan on preparing adequately to deal with the threat posed by the entire team.
“In the World Cup, there are no easy opponents. The most dangerous players are those who combine intelligence, movement, composure, and lethal effectiveness. But my focus is always on our preparations rather than fearing any particular player,” Gaspar said.
Gaspar, a Portuguese-American trainer, is part of a new Black Stars technical team put together by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He is working under head coach Carlos Queiroz, who was brought in to replace Otto Addo.
Although Ghanaians are encouraged to be measured in their expectations, all eyes will be on the new technical team to ensure the national team impresses at the tournament.
At the World Cup, Ghana will compete against Panama, England, and Croatia in the group stage.
