The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has announced revised dates for its 2026 competitions calendar, with major youth and club tournaments scheduled across Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Nigeria.
According to the updated calendar, the WAFU B U-20 Boys tournament will be staged in Côte d’Ivoire from July 26 to August 9, 2026.
Burkina Faso will host the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers from August 23 to September 5, 2026, as clubs from across the region compete for places in the continental tournament.
Côte d’Ivoire will again serve as hosts later in the year for the WAFU B U-17 Girls competition, which is scheduled to take place from September 15 to 27, 2026.
The WAFU B U-17 Boys tournament will then be held in Burkina Faso from November 16 to 29, 2026.
Nigeria will conclude the regional football calendar by hosting the African Schools Championship U-15 tournament from December 6 to 9, 2026.
The revised schedule is expected to help member associations, clubs and technical teams prepare adequately for the various competitions while improving coordination on the regional football calendar.
The tournaments remain important platforms for youth development and talent identification across the WAFU B region, with several participating nations expected to use the competitions to prepare players for future continental and international assignments.
