Black Stars have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi retaining the number 1 shirt for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Captain Jordan Ayew will continue to wear his preferred number 9 jersey, while Brandon Thomas-Asante has been handed the number 10 shirt. Antoine Semenyo will wear number 11.
In the goalkeeping department, Joseph Anang has been assigned number 12, with Benjamin Asare taking number 16.
Defender Derrick Luckassen, who was called up to replace the injured Alexander Djiku, will wear number 23. Midfielder Thomas Partey retains his familiar number 5 shirt, while Gideon Mensah, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi and Baba Rahman will wear numbers 14, 8, 3 and 17 respectively.
The announcement comes as Ghana finalise preparations for their return to the World Cup stage.
Carlos Queiroz's side will begin their Group L campaign against Panama in Toronto on June 17 before taking on England in Boston on June 23. The Black Stars will conclude the group stage against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Ghana are aiming to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
