Ghana defender Jerome Opoku says the Black Stars must approach every match at the FIFA World Cup with the mindset of winning, despite their opening victory over Panama.
The Black Stars began their campaign with a 1-0 win, leaving many supporters believing a draw against England could be enough to keep Ghana on course for the knockout stage. However, Opoku insists that is not the mentality within the squad.
"We won the first game against Panama, and I've seen a lot of people saying now all we need is a draw, but for me, the most important thing is you go into every game looking for the three points," he said.
"You can't approach a game looking for a draw. You need to go in there with full confidence and then whatever happens, happens."
The defender added that the players are determined to give everything for the country every time they step onto the pitch.
"As long as we know we gave everything on the pitch for the badge and for the country, then that's all we can do."
Ghana face England in their second Group G match knowing another victory would secure a place in the knockout stage.
