Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has officially returned to Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht following the conclusion of his six-month loan spell at RAAL La Louvière.
The 28-year-old playmaker’s short-term contract with the newly promoted side expired on June 30, 2026, marking the end of a temporary stint aimed at securing regular first-team minutes.
Ashimeru, who joined La Louvière in January to regain match fitness, returns alongside compatriot Jerry Afriyie, who was also released upon the expiration of his contract agreement this week.
Despite completing his loan assignment, Ashimeru remains securely tied to Anderlecht, where his permanent contract runs until June 30, 2027, following a long-term extension signed back in 2024.
The Black Stars midfielder has faced a challenging period, recently missing out on Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Determined to reclaim his spot in the national team and force his way back into Anderlecht's starting eleven, Ashimeru has already commenced rigorous pre-season gym and field training.
He looks to build peak physical conditioning ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 European football calendar.
Anderlecht’s management will now evaluate the midfielder's fitness and pre-season performance before deciding whether to integrate him into the main squad or consider transfer offers.
With one year left on his contract, Ashimeru’s immediate future remains a key focal point for the Brussels-based club during this summer transfer window.
