Ghanaian striker Prince Owusu continued his impressive scoring run after netting his 13th goal of the MLS season in CF Montreal’s 2-2 draw with LA Galaxy on Saturday.
The 29-year-old forward rescued a point for Montreal in the 79th minute when he rose to head home and level the game at 2-2.
The goal extended Owusu’s scoring streak to four consecutive matches, while he has now scored seven goals in his last seven games.
Owusu has matched his career-high tally of 13 MLS goals, which he also recorded for Montreal last season.

Daniel Rios opened the scoring for Montreal in the 16th minute on his debut before Ruben Ramos Jr. equalised for the Galaxy four minutes later.
Maya Yoshida then put the visitors ahead in the 48th minute with a back-heeled finish, assisted by Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil, who registered his eighth goal involvement this season.
LA Galaxy were reduced to 10 men in the 68th minute after goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski was sent off, but Montreal had to wait until the 79th minute for Owusu’s equaliser.
The result extended Montréal’s unbeaten run to four matches as they moved to a 6-10-5 record.
Owusu’s continued form provides another boost for Montréal as he remains one of the club’s leading attacking outlets this season.
