Former Black Stars midfielder Charles 'Taylor' Asampong has been lamenting in the United States following his inability to return to Ghana after the West Africans exited the World Cup.
The ex-Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko player made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to help him return home after attempts to reach the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation failed.
According to the ex-footballer, he was on the travel list of the FA but has been totally ignored since he arrived in the United States.
He also disclosed that tickets to watch the Ghana games at the World Cup were denied him, and it took a fan to get him watch the England match.
"I don't have tickets to return home. The FA informed me they will come get me, but they didn't. I am on their travel list, they are supposed to accommodate me and take care of me. Even my per diem has not been delivered to me and when you complain, they will threaten you that they will report you to the FBI to come pick you," he told Sammy Kay Media.
"The FA was supposed to also feed me, but since I arrived I haven't seen anybody. Not even a dollar has been given to me. I didn't even get tickets for the game. A fan bought ticket for me for the England game and even with that I was standing somewhere that the person gave it to me out of benevolence," he added.
The 16-time capped Ghana international had to implore fans on social media, adding his phone numbers for money to be contributed for him to buy tickets.
