Black Maidens assistant coach Bashirudeen Sumani has appealed to Ghanaian fans to fill the Accra Sports Stadium and support the national U-17 women's team in Saturday's crucial FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifier against Senegal.
The Black Maidens need a positive result on home soil to book their place at the global tournament, and Sumani believes the backing of the supporters can make a big difference.
Speaking ahead of the decisive clash, the assistant coach praised the commitment of his players and thanked fans for their support throughout the qualifying campaign.
"Every match, we take it very serious. Not just only this match. Right when we hit on for these qualifiers, we have all the motivation and other...motivations from elsewhere and most especially at the FA and these girls have been ready on set and today as we speak. They are very ready the motivation and their commitment level is very high that we think that tomorrow victory shall be ours," he said
"Fans we always thank them all the time when we started our campaign towards this this World Cup in Togo we saw how they trooped into the stadium although it was an away but massive support was there throughout Liberia here. And then we are in we are going to face Senegal again I wish and I am calling on them to come in their numbers so that tomorrow we will all rejoice and have victory to ourselves,"
The match kicks off at 3:30 GMT on Saturday, July 11.
