Ghanaian defender Henry Ansu has officially completed a transfer to newly-promoted Iraqi Premier League side Al Shatrah SC, marking the next chapter in his professional career.
The commanding centre-back joins the Iraqi outfit after establishing himself in the Ghana Premier League, where he featured for Young Apostles, Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
His performances attracted interest from abroad, culminating in his move to Iraq ahead of the new season.
The switch to Al Shatrah presents the 24-year-old with his first opportunity to play in the Middle East, as he looks to make an immediate impact in one of Asia's emerging football competitions.
