The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has urged his players to continue working hard after their victory against Yamoussoukro FC on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian champions locked horns with the Ivorian side today as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
In a game played at the School Scientific De Yamoussoukro field, goals from Abdul Salam and Dominic Amponsah in the first half fired Medeama SC to a 2-1 triumph.
Speaking after the exercise, Ibrahim Tanko stressed the importance of learning from their mistakes and taking positives from the contest.
“It was a very good game. This was the first game like you said in Abidjan, and we managed to win 2-1. I think we have to watch the video and look at the mistakes and positives that we can take and keep on working,” Tanko told Medi TV.
Following the team’s first pre-season friendly in Ivory Coast, Medeama SC will play four more friendlies before returning to Ghana.
