Real Tamale United bounced back from their heavy opening-day defeat to Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs with an impressive 4-1 victory over Debibi United in Group A of the 2026 X1 Energy Drink DOL Super Cup at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
RTU made a fast start to the contest, with Abdul Rahim Lamale opening the scoring in the third minute to give the Pride of the North an early advantage.
Emmanuel Owusu doubled their lead in the 25th minute as RTU took control of the game and went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
Debibi United responded after the interval and reduced the deficit through Leslie Aryeetey in the 74th minute, setting up a tense final 15 minutes.
RTU, however, quickly regained control. Rahim Akanta converted from the penalty spot in the 81st minute to restore the two-goal advantage and complete his brace in the tournament.
Real Tamale United added a fourth goal late in the game to complete a convincing 4-1 victory and put their campaign back on track.
The result moves RTU onto three points in Group A, level with Ebusua Dwarfs, who still have a game in hand.
Debibi United remain on one point after two matches, following their 3-3 draw with Attram De Visser in their opening fixture.
The victory gives RTU renewed hope of reaching the semifinals, with the final round of Group A matches set to determine the two teams that advance.
