ADO Den Haag have brought Denmark-Ghana centre-back Jonas Jensen-Abbew to the Netherlands from Danish champions Aarhus GF.
The 24-year-old defender has signed a contract running until 30 June 2030 after switching from the Danish Superliga to the Eredivisie. Jensen-Abbew, who is 1.89m tall and right-footed, joins ADO Den Haag as the club add defensive strength to their squad.
Jensen-Abbew helped Aarhus GF win the Danish championship in the 2025-26 season, claiming the first senior trophy of his career. He remained involved with the club at the start of the 2026-27 campaign, making two appearances in Champions League qualifying and one in the Superliga before completing his move on 26 August.
His European experience came across 134 minutes of Champions League qualifying football, while he also recorded a 14-minute Superliga appearance during his career. Jensen-Abbew did not score in those matches.
The move to ADO Den Haag represents Jensen-Abbew’s first transfer outside Denmark. He joined Aarhus GF from Nordsjaelland in February 2024, having made the move after previously spending time on loan at HB Koge.
Jensen-Abbew’s senior career began with Nordsjaelland, where he progressed after leaving the club’s under-19 side. He had joined Nordsjaelland’s youth system from FCN Youth in 2019, following an earlier spell with AB Youth.
The defender’s market value is listed at €750,000, while his highest recorded valuation has been €900,000. His arrival gives ADO Den Haag a centre-back with domestic title-winning experience and recent exposure to European qualifying football.
Jensen-Abbew, who was born in Herlev and holds Danish and Ghanaian nationality, will now continue his career in the Netherlands after more than two years with Aarhus GF.
He has joined ADO Den Haag from Aarhus GF and is contracted to the Eredivisie club until June 2030.
