President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune extended his New Year greetings to the Algerian people on Wednesday evening, emphasising that 2026 will be a year of pride and distinction for all Algerians, driven by the labor and sacrifices of the people across all sectors, steering Algeria toward the status of an emerging nation with confidence.
In his message to the Algerian people on this occasion, the President of the Republic said:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our beloved master Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, a thousand prayers and salutations upon him.
Dear citizens, as we welcome the New Year 2026, I extend to you my warmest wishes for good health and well-being for all, and for happiness and prosperity for our beloved homeland.”
He added that the New Year “will (Allah willing) bring pride and honor to all Algerian women and men, thanks to the tireless efforts and sacrifices of our people across various fields, enabling Algeria to join the ranks of emerging countries in full security.”
The President of the Republic continued: “I extend my heartfelt New Year wishes to every Algerian woman and man, at home and abroad, while not forgetting our people in occupied Palestine. My prayer is for an end to the Zionist crimes against them and for the restoration of normal life in the West Bank, Gaza, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.”
The President of the Republic concluded: “May Algeria remain free, dignified, and standing tall. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you all.”
