The Alto  Villagio Vista,  even at its  uncompleted state at 24 storeys now, is believed to be  Accra and Ghana’s tallest building.
Even before it  reaches its full potential at 27 floors, the Alto, which forms part of the Villagio Vista group of residential and office accommodation at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange in Accra,  has  made Accra’s skyline more beautiful.
It belongs to the Trasaaco Group and is under its Accra real  estate development programme.

Prez backs cancellation of teacher trainee allowance
President John Dramani Mahama has given full backing to the decision by the Ministry of Education to cancel the payment of the age-old teacher–trainee allowance and replace it with the students’ loan scheme.
He said the decision, which was taken to ensure uniformity in financing tertiary education, was paying off, with enrolment of students in teacher training institutions going up from 9,000 to 15,000 in the first year.

Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust takes over endowment fund
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has officially handed over the oversight responsibility of a US$2-million endowment fund to the Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust (GHCT).
The endowment fund is to help the GHCT preserve and maintain Ghana’s forest reserve.Â
It is also to assist the trust in the preservation and conservation of Ghana’s heritage, particularly the development of tourism in the Central Region.

‘Support women improve leadership skills’
