In a brief event held at Aknac Hotel inside Trasacco Valley, the four teenagers were honored for the excellence they achieved. However, only two of them were present for the event. The others will receive their awards in private.
The 18 year old female entrepreneur, Vanessa Aisha Limann, beat nine others who presented their ideas and answered questions before a panel of judges, in the presence of the President, ministers of state and members of the Diplomatic Corps, at the Presidential Pitch event in Accra.
The three others, Katia Maame Dufie Osei and Afia Sarpong Frimpong (both of Wesley Girls’ High School), and Isabelle Quaye (Ghana International School) scored higher than 99% of all test takers on the SAT in the world and got admissions into Harvard, Yale university and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) respectively.
