One of the fastest growing comedians in Ghana, Abdul Waris, has expressed concern about the comedy industry in the country.
According to him, the Ghanaian media do not do much to support the industry grow.
Speaking on 3FM’s Campus Rocks programme, Waris told host Mz AK how challenging it is being a comedian in Ghana.
Waris observed that the media do not promote comedy as much as they do for movies and music.
He was sharing his experience on the International Youth Day edition of the programme, which gave the youth an opportunity to share how helpful social media has been to them in their strides.
Just like Waris, most of the guests on the show admitted social media have been of immense help to them in their respective endeavours.
