Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has described the late Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles Crabbe as a fearless advocate who was very pivotal in the development of law in Ghana.
Hours after news of the former EC Chairperson’s death broke, the Vice President took to Facebook to mourn the great statesman.
“He played an unprecedented role in the development of law, as well as, democratic institutions in Ghana, and was a fearless advocate.”
Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe died at age 95 on Friday, September 7 after a short illness.
He was very instrumental in the drafting of the 1979 Constitution of Ghana.
The former Supreme Court Judge was born on October 29, 1923 at Ussher Town in Accra.
He worked with the Zambian Constitutional Commission for the drafting of the Zambian Constitution as well with the Fiajoe Review Commission for the review of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
