A Deputy National Security Coordinator at the Kotoka International Airport, Hopeson Adorye, has been elected 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate for the Kpone Katamanso constituency.
Mr. Adorye polled 321 votes, beating four other contenders – Prince Dadzie, who polled 56 votes, William Ofosu Asante with 203 votes, Mark Fuachie-Sobre, 22 votes and David Quaye Annang, who polled 46 votes.
Overall, 652 votes were cast in the primary, with 4 rejected votes recorded.
The Kpone Katamanso seat is occupied by Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, who is expected to abdicate the seat before the 2020 polls.
