A non-executive Director of the Company, Mr Yaw Nsarkoh, has also resigned his post, a statement issued by the company on December 4 announced.
In effect, the two have also resigned from the board of Unilever Ghana Limited.
No reasons were assigned for their resignation which took effect from November 30, 2019.
“The resignations have been duly communicated to the Ghana Stock Exchange,” the statement said, and explained that is in accordance with Regulation 40(i) of the Ghana Stock Exchange Listing Rules, 2006.
Mrs Amoah who was the Customer Development Director of Unilever Ghana, took over as the MD of the company on November 1, 2018; succeeding Ziobeieton Yeo, who resigned on the same day.
Unilever Ghana was established in 1992 through the merger of UAC Ghana and Lever Brothers and is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
It employs some 2,000 people in supply, marketing and distribution as well as the 400 staff who work at the Headquarters and Tema factory.
The company produces some of the leading home and personal care products on the Ghanaian market and support the health, nutrition and wellbeing of the people of Ghana with its various brands.
