Customers of the Salaga branch of the GCB Bank are in a fix after samples of staff were taken for tests.
Information available to 3news.com from Salaga indicates that the samples were taken after one of the bankers (name withheld) was suspected of carrying the virus.
Some of the customers who spoke to the news team on grounds of anonymity are unhappy about the situation.
They expressed disappointment in the Municipal Covid-19 Emergency Response Committee for allowing the bank to operate after the incident.
They are afraid there will be a possible spread should the results of some of the staff turn positive.
On Tuesday, May 12, a team of health personnel from the Northern Region were in Salaga to take the samples.
Even though the results are yet to come out, customers feel the entirety of the staff should self-quarantine instead of rendering services to the general public.
A visit to the bank by the news team shows banking activities going on.
Meanwhile, the District Health Directorate said it only heard of the incident on a regional WhatsApp platform.
