The German Bundesliga is the first top-flight league in Europe to resume after club football on the Old Continent took a jolt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Six matches are scheduled to be played on Saturday with the rest, bar one, to be cleared on Sunday.
The Bundesliga was suspended in mid-March after the devastating effect of the viral disease across the world with Germany having recorded over 8,000 deaths so far, despite regarded as one of the lowest in Europe.
The resumption of the German domestic league will, however, come with strict compliance to safety regulations including no pre-match handshakes and photographs.
Players are also to undergo Covid-19 tests at least once a week until the league is completed.
Significantly, the matches will be played behind closed-doors.
Below are the fixtures for Saturday, May 16:
Hoffenheim V Hertha Berlin
Augsburg V Wolfsburg
Dortmund V Schalke 04
Fortuna Dusseldorf V Paderborn
RB Leipzig V SC Freiburg
Eintracht Frankfurt V Monchengladbach
SUNDAY, MAY 17
FC Cologne V Main
Union Berlin V Bayern Munich
MONDAY, MAY 18
Werder Bremen V Bayer Leverkusen
