General Manager of Savannah Waste Management Services Limited, Peter Dawuni, has underscored the importance of the ongoing disinfection and fumigation exercise by Zoomlion Ghana Limited across the country.
He said the exercise being done in schools, police stations, markets and churches among other public places against covid-19 and bed bug infestation, should be taken seriously, and urged Ghanaians to equally disinfect their homes.
Mr Dawuni also advised banks and corporate institutions to take advantage of the waste management giant’s discount to disinfect and fumigate their premises and facilities.
He noted the fight against Covid-19 is a collective responsibility for all.
“Everybody must take keen interest in the fight because the virus fears no one and so at our individual levels we must take up the challenge to fight it” he advised.
The surest ways of doing so, he said, is to disinfect our homes, our offices and common places and observe the Ghana Health Services (GHS) and WHO protocols such as washing hands with soup and running water, usage of hand sanitizers, observing social distancing and the avoidance of hand shaking among others.
The General Manager gave the advice during the fumigation and disinfection of the Tamale Senior High School (Tamasco).
He said his outfit, which is a subsidiary of Zoomlion Ghana Limited is always availability to partner individuals to deal with the global pandemic through disinfection and to a large extend fumigation.
“It is important that mothers incorporate disinfection budget in their daily activities to ensure that their wards and husbands are properly protected. It is time to close our differences and commonly deal with this Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
