The Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has been discharged from the hospital, the former Public Relations Officer of his ministry has said.
Speaking on Covid-19 360 on TV3 on Tuesday, Vincent Ekow Assafuah said the Minister was discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) last weekend though yet to attend to office duties.
On Wednesday, Dr Opoku Prempeh’s Press Secretary, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng, in a statement indicated that his boss was discharged “with a positive rapid antibody test result”.
The Minister is expected to be “further monitored”.
“He is currently at home resting and would like to thank all those who wished him well during his time in hospital.”
