Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong has been gifted a car from former athletes of Accra Academy.
A team of 20 old boys of Accra Academy came together to purchase a Toyota Echo car for their former trainer, who did a lot for them back at high school.
The former Asante Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs gaffer was a Physical Education (PE) Teacher as well as Sports Master at the school where he nurtured so many athletes and players who made great strides in the country.
Having done all this, he has been honoured by some former students of the school.
Notable names among the contributors, who have created a WhatsApp group by name ‘Accra Aca Sports Legends’ are Leo Myles Mills Jnr, a former national athlete, and Princeton Owusu-Ansah, a former Ghana international.
The exact amount raised for the Toyota Echo is not known.
