The total number of recoveries-cum-discharges of coronavirus cases in Ghana has gone past 40,000.
The latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) released on its website on Saturday, August 15 puts the number at 40,147.
This has also seen a further reduction in the active cases.
From 1,839, the active cases have reduced by seven.
The deaths, however, remain same as was reported on Friday, August 14 – 231.
The update reported of 147 new cases, bringing the total number of cumulative cases to 42,210.
Sixteen persons are in severe conditions while five are in critical conditions with three on ventilators.
So far, 424,315 tests have been conducted, putting thd country’s positivity rate at 9.9 per cent.
