Dec polls: Put future of Ghana first – ICGC Pastor to politicians
Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) East Legon ,Yahweh Temple Rev Ismaila Awudu has admonished politicians to put the future of Ghana first in order to curb the incidence of violence on election day.
He says the only way Ghana can be spared of violence is when politicians and their followers acknowledge and accept that, peace is priceless and the alternative is dangerous.
In a post to admonish all Ghanaians ahead of the polls on December 7, he described the election as a decider of Ghana’s future.
“Monday 7th December is the day for presidential and parliamentary election and the future of Ghana. The preservation of the constitution, the continuation of the 4th Republic and the peace and progress of our dear nation will be decided by us, the electorate.
“Our vote is our power and a major decider of what happens to Ghana based on who we vote for and not how we feel. Remember we’re Ghanaians first so the peace, progress and development of our nation are paramount.
“Please don’t be left out on that day, come out in your numbers to vote and don’t be afraid or feel intimidated to exercise your franchise.
“This is not the time for talks and fight but a moment of decision for our future and our generation; go and vote. God bless our homeland Ghana.”
