Aduana Stars recorded their first away win against Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their history since gaining promotion to compete in the Ghana Premier League in 2009.
Samuel Bioh scored the only goal of the game to hand Aduana Stars the historic win after capitalizing on a lose ball from the Asante Kotoko defence to score for the ‘Ogya Boys’.
A win would have taken Kotoko to the top of the league for the first time this season.
At Tarkwa, Medeama Sporting Club continued their home dominance over Inter Allies; they ensured the ‘Eleven is to One’ lads returned from the Western Region with no points, which has been a norm since Allies qualified for the Premier League. Abass Mohammed’s brace handed the Yellow and Mauves all three points.
Agyenim Boateng opened his Dreams FC account against Liberty Professionals at Dawu after failing in 9 previous outings.
The youngster scored a brace in a game which Dreams FC were ruthless. They scored 4 past the scientific soccer lads. Joseph Esso who captained the side also had a brace.
Prince Okraku scored just at the closing stages of the game between Techiman Eleven Wonders and Kingfaisal at the Nana Ameyaw Park to hand Eleven Wonders all three points.
Ebusua Dwarfs’ poor home form continued after failing to beat WAFA at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Dwarfs were hoping to bounce back to winning ways at home after failing in their last two attempts but all their efforts proved futile as WAFA scored in the first half through Daniel Owusu.
Albert Hammond equalized for Dwarfs.
The ‘best was saved for the last’ at the Ndoum Sports Complex when Sharks hosted Bechem United. Sharks managed to beat Bechem United with Ishmael Hammond’s injury time penalty.
All 3 goals came after 85 minutes of play. Tahir Musah had the opener before Bechem levelled from the spot in the 90th minute through captain Moro Salifu.
The home team was awarded a penalty, which was converted by Ishmael Hammond to give Sharks their first win in three games.
