The Don Bosco Solar and Renewable Energy Centre in Ashaiman has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bochum University of Applied Science, Germany to train students on Monal Energy Sustainability project.
the development is expected to increase the benefit of energy, mobility offers and environmental protection in the country.
The MoU is towards developing a new solution for smart, fully automatic and decentralized metering mini and micro grids for efficiency power.
E-mobility offers a further chance to develop and integrate decentralized power systems to improve the environmental impact and ensure overall sustainability.
The second partner of the University Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani will also increase benefits of energy and protect the environment.
With its many benefits come challenges such as a rising demand for energy and higher mobility needs.
Other speakers maintained that environmentally friendly alternative through e-mobility will be the way.
Under the project, all developed solutions will be installed and tested in the Don Bosco Mini-Grid.
