Inflation rate for June 2021 was 7.8 per cent, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced on Wednesday July 14.
This means that in the month of June 2021 the general price level was 7.8% higher than in June 2020, the GSS said.
Month-on-month inflation between May 2021 and June 2021 was 1.3%.
Food inflation was 7.3%. That of last month this was 5.4%
Average over last 12 month was 10.8%. Month-on-month Food inflation was 1.8%.
With the Non-food, inflation was 8.2%. That of last month was 9.2 %. Average over last 12 month was 9.0%. Month-on-month Non-Food inflation was 0.8%
Inflation for locally produced items was 7.9%. Inflation for imported items was 7.0%.
