Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah has signed a three-year contract with AJ Auxerre from RB Salzburg.
This means a permanent move to France for the left-back, who spent last season on loan at Bordeaux.
Mensah appeared in 23 games as Les Girondins were relegated to Ligue 2.
The former Sturm Graz man had previously been loaned to Vitória Guimares in Portugal.
“Gideon Mensah commits to AJA! The club is pleased to announce the signing of the Ghanaian left-back on a three-year contract from Red Bull Salzburg,” Auxerre said.
He is the ninth signing of the summer for the Ligue 1 newcomers, and he will wear the No.14 shirt.
Mensah, who began his career at West African Football Academy (WAFA), has earned 11 Ghana caps since 2019.
The 24-year-old was impressive in Ghana’s World Cup playoff win over Nigeria.
