Aspiring Ashanti Region Secretary for National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr Frank Amoakohene has refuted claims that he is engaged in bribing delegates for votes ahead of the regional elections.
He has also discounted claims that Dr Kwabena Duffour is sponsoring him to buy votes from delegates.
Dr Amoakohene made references to publication by 3news.com that Dr Kwabena Duffour is sponsoring him with huge amount of GH¢400,000 to induce delegates.
He refuted that he has not aligned with Dr Duffour and he has no intentions to bribe delegates for votes as some people are alleging.
Whiles speaking on Akoma FM’s evening political show Ghana Maadwo Wednesday, November 9, Dr Frank Amoakohene discounted claims that he is involved in bribery to compel delegates to vote him into office as the NDC’s regional secretary.
He told host of the show JB that “I don’t know where these allegations are coming from but I can say that I am not involved in the said allegations and that those leveling allegations should come clear with evidence. I have never given anyone money to vote for me”.
Dr Amoakohene’s major contender Kwasi Ofori Agyeman had alleged that Dr Amoakohene is being sponsored by Dr Kwabena Duffour with huge sums of money to bribe delegates for votes.
But Dr Amoakohene discounted the claims and has dared those spreading such allegations to come with evidence or be prepared to meet his legal team.
