Before the World Cup, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu said that he was confident the Black Stars would advance from Group H, which had been dubbed the “group of death”
The former Ghana midfielder said, “I’m not too sure that this team will go down that they cannot qualify from the group. If it doesn’t happen I will shave all my hair.”
“I can bet everything this team will qualify from the group. If Ghana doesn’t qualify from the group stage, I will shave it here. I am so optimistic about this team.”
Unfortunately for him, the four-time African champions were eliminated on Friday, his 32nd birthday.
Agyemang-Badu, one of 3Sports’ World Cup pundits, was in the TV3 studio for the match between Ghana and Uruguay. The Black Stars were eliminated from the tournament after a 2-0 defeat, and Agyemang-Badu had his hair shaved live on TV.
