Hundreds of residents took part in a clean-up exercise at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Asnati Region.
The exercise, which was organized by Paul Sarbeng, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MASLOC, was aimed at ensuring sanity in the community.
Paul Sarbeng teamed up with the chiefs, assembly members, unit committee members, and the youth of Mpasatia to embark on the clean-up exercise.
Apart from the clean-up exercise, he also presented items such as waste bins, brooms, shovels, and rakes to the people of Mpasatia to keep the community clean.
He also organized a football tournament for the youth.
Four teams that participated in the tournament were given a brand-new football, jerseys, and undisclosed amounts of money.
Some individuals were also awarded for their performance.
Nana Toasehene graced the occasion.
Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Frederick Acheampong and General Manager of Fox FM in Kumasi Nana Sarpong were also present.
Paul Sarbeng highlighted the need for organizing such programmes in the community and pledged that there are more to come to the various communities in Atwima Mponua.
