Easter holidays have always been graced with a lot of entertaining activities to ease off work stress and other pressures.
You probably have been busy trying to achieve that goal or target and working as hard as you can within the first three months of the year.
But the Easter Monday holiday is here and you must take time off work to embrace the holiday and take off some pressure to begin afresh.
If you are wondering about places to celebrate your holiday in Accra today, here are five places to visit and trust me your easter holiday will be remarkable.
1. Beaches
Beaches have always been part of our Easter Monday holidays. We have embraced the site to mainly celebrate our holidays on Easter Mondays.
I remember as a kid, I never missed any Easter Monday holiday at the beach. Places like Kokrobite beach, Labadi beach, Bojo beach etc will always create a memory on Easter Monday.
2. Picnics
Churches all over Accra will today have picnics to celebrate the Easter holiday. It has been a usual thing and most churches use it to cede off any unfortunate incident which may have arisen due to the holidays.
They urge their members to be at the picnics for games and other sporting activities instead of the beaches.
3. Street Carnivals and concerts
This has also become a frequent thing especially on Easter Monday holiday. At prominent national parks like the Efua Sutherland parks and others concerts for kids are being organized.
This also to create sometime for parents to be able to bond and spend time with their kids if they barley do that.
4. Osu and its environs
Osu, a suburb in Accra, has etched a recognition to be a “chilling town”. A friend always tells me if you do not have money, never go to Osu to chill.
The town is filled with many eateries, pubs, clubs etc. A lot of the foreigners in town usually have fun in Osu and that is another reason why ‘chilling’ is expensive in Osu. But it is surely worth a time-spending in Osu and you will indeed enjoy your holiday.
