West Ham United manager David Moyes has acknowledged the task ahead as the Hammers seek to stop title-chasing Manchester City.
The Cityzens are on the verge of a historic fourth consecutive Premier League title and a victory over West Ham would seal the triumph.
However, Arsenal might need a favour from West Ham as a draw could see them overturn the story when they beat Everton on the final day.
Although Moyes, 61, acknowledged it would be difficult to stop Man City, he promised a “professional” performance, with his team still having their own work to do.
“It would be difficult to stop their Under-14s winning the title,” Moyes joked following last Saturday’s 3-1 farewell home win over Luton Town. “Professional is the word I would use. We will try and do the best we can.”

After four and a half years, Moyes took over as manager of West Ham again. His appointment produced generational results, as the Hammers advanced to three consecutive European quarterfinals and emerged victorious in the Uefa Europa Conference League in 2023 after defeating Fiorentina of Italy in Prague.
However, Moyes has acknowledged that 2024 is the ideal year to depart. His departure from East London was announced last week.
“I do believe it’s the right decision for both me and the club,” he stated. “West Ham has a lot of potential and room to grow. If they can achieve that, they can go back – and that’s what I hope they can do. The next step will be to keep moving forward, and this is the chance they probably need to find something new.”
