The French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Mr. Laurent Fabius, has hosted his Ghanaian counterpart Ms. Hanna Tetteh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, in Paris to discuss key bilateral issues on strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
The discussion between the two ministers was centred on building a strong economic relationship as well as a review on the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The situation in the Sahel region and the fight against Boko Haram was also on the agenda.
The maiden political dialogue between the two ministers was held in Paris in October last year, and the second session is scheduled to take place in Accra next month.
Ms. Tetteh also interacted with Mrs. Elizabeth Guigou, chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly.
She was engaged in a meeting with MEDEF International, a representation of the French private sector at international level, to discuss business opportunities in-country -- with over 15 French companies expressing their willingness to do business with Ghana.
