Barclays Bank has launched a deposit mobilisation drive ‘Win Easy, Win Big’ promo to reward its customers as part of its ongoing Prosper pan-African campaign.
The highlight of the campaign will see one of the bank’s customers take home the ultimate prize of GH¢100,000 in the grand draw.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Mrs. Shola Safo-Duodu, Barclays Bank’s Head of Corporate Affairs, said customers are required to deposit at least GH¢300 into their accounts and top it up to GH¢1,000 during a 3-month period to stand a chance of winning the overall cash prize.
Before the main draw, there will be two monthly draws in the months of October and November -- when customers who have deposited GH¢300 or more stand a chance of doubling their account balance to not more than GH¢10,000 as well win other consolation prices.
Barclays’ Win Easy, Win Big, according to Mrs. Safo-Duodu, is the bank’s way of ensuring that it mobilises funds outside the formal banking sector for onward lending to SMEs -- a situation she said could lead to job-creation.
“When we pull all of these monies that are outside the banking industry, it will help create jobs because SMEs will get funds to develop and grow their products and services. This will help the larger economy,†she said.
The latest promotion, she said, forms part of the Barclays’ Prosper pan-African campaign launched earlier this year.
The pan-African campaign aims to capture what Barclays stands for and how the bank is helping people achieve their ambitions -- in the right way.
