The Northern Regional Command of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has secured a four housing unit project for some senior officers.
Constructed by the State Housing Company (SHC) at Kugani, near the Tamale Airport, each self-contained apartment has two bedrooms, a hall, kitchen, a balcony and other ancillary facilities.

The GIS Northern Regional Commander, Chief Superintendent Ahomka Noah Yeboah at the official inaugural ceremony described the project as the beginning of strategic steps adopted to defray the GIS housing deficit in the region.

According to him, the GIS in partnership with the State Housing Company is to construct a four-storey 24-unit block for other ranks.

Mr. Noah Ahomka called for operational logistics to ensure the proper monitoring of the nation’s entry points (borders) to the Northern Region.
