A former Ashanti Regional Minister, Peter Anarfi Mensah has died.
Mr. Anarfi Mensah is reported to be involved in a motor accident some weeks ago and was on admission at the hospital at a Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
He was however pronounced dead on Monday.
The Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Kwame Zu said the party’s regional office was informed about the death by his family.
He said the party’s supporters in the region is devastated following news of the death.
Mr. Anarfi Mensah was appointed Regional Minister by the former president, John Dramani Mahama after Dr. Samuel Sarpong and his deputy, Joseph Yammin were relieved of their posts in March 2015.
He was however removed from the position and was succeeded by John Alexander Ackon.
He served as the headteacher of the Tepa Senior High School in the Ashanti Region.
